This is the lunar eclipse that caused historians to change Jesus’ birthday from 1BC to 4BC. The kicker is that 300 years ago they thought it was a total eclipse at 11:00 PM; however, this is its max at 3:00 AM.

Jesus’ birth date of 1BC was accepted by all until the 17th century. Sadly historians changed the date of Jesus’ birth favoring flowed lunar eclipse charts dating to Jesus’ time. The flowed first charts indicated no eclipse in 1BC but rather 4 BC.
